Each colorful box holds a scattered handful of friendly line-art objects — balloons, cookies, flowers, fish, suns — and a dotted box underneath for writing the total. Counting the objects builds one-to-one correspondence; writing the numeral connects the quantity to the symbol. It’s the bridge between our counting and tracing worksheets.
