Color words are many children's first sight words — short, meaningful, and instantly checkable: if the word says red and the crayon is red, reading happened. Each row pairs an outline picture with a color word; the child reads, then colors.
Pick the pictures and assign the color words yourself (a purple crocodile is allowed and encouraged), lock favorites, and shuffle the rest. The answer key shows every picture filled with its color.
